Description
Following on from the very successful drawing, sketching and mark making course we will now delve into the world of charcoals, inks, pastels and resist techniques. A great paper based 3 session course to help you explore your own creative expression. You will look at the contrasting qualities of wet and dry, tones, washes and techniques including scumbling and resist techniques. Using a variety of tools and media allowing a freedom in compositions. The sessions will enable you to experiment and build a library of references and possibly some finished pieces.
The focus will be on having great fun and playing – there are no mistakes in this process but just time and permission to travel on your own creative journey…who knows where this will end!
Following on from this will be a mixed media course based around collage and paper.
Suitable for any adult level from beginners to those with experience but wishing to expand knowledge base and creativity.
Art materials and paper will be provided but you may wish to bring your own sketchbook and basic drawing supplies including charcoals, black and coloured inks and pastels (chalk and oil). Homemade biscuits, fresh coffees, hot chocolate and teas provided.
